January In Paris

Hello lovelies
I'm so nervous writing this it feels so strange to put my thoughts out there on the internet. I thought id start of light by telling you all about my thoughts on a trip to Paris I took with my boyfriend in January. I had organised the trip as a Christmas present for him as he is literally impossible to buy for as he's not materialistic in the slightest! As if buying Christmas presents for significant others wasn't bad enough! We like to travel quite a bit and ill tell you about other trips we took in the future.
We stayed in a hotel in Montmartre, an area which I had never stayed before in previous visits but my good friend (thanks Susanna!) assured me it was a brilliant area to stay in. anyone that's been to Paris would know about the extortionate prices for accommodation and this was no different. paying top dollar for measly rooms is a given most of the time unless you've the budget to spend €500-€600 per night. when I was booking it I just knew there was no point in paying a vast amount of money for a hotel that we would only be using as a base and to sleep in. I focused more on location to the nearest metro (though in the end we only tried using the metro once).

On our first day we had planned to go to euro Disney like the big kids that we are, however we ended up sleeping in due to our late arrival the night before. instead we took a taxi to the Arc De Triomphe and walked down the Champ elysees. we stopped for brunch in Laurdee (one of my personal favourite places) Paul and I are pure coffee addicts and Laurdee cappuccinos are one of our personal favourites. From there I ran straight for Louis Vuitton for a browse. (literally had a Pochette Metis in my hand so gutted I left it behind). Anyways to compensate that I found a coat I've been looking for, for so long. Its just the warmest coat I've ever had and kept me so warm in the Parisian cold. Abercombie&Fitch is not usually a place id shop but I'm so happy to own this coat now which was also on sale #Bargain!

We also went on the Ferris wheel as night fell which was so beautiful I cant even tell you. I love shopping in Paris I was in my element hopping from shop to shop (I may have also made a sneaky purchase in Saint Laurent too- ill divulge details later.)
the next day we trekked to Disney land and I'm so so SO gutted to report that unfortunately a lot of the rides were closed. I thanked my lucky stars that I didn't pay for full price tickets!

I'm well aware I look strange with all my layers but it was extremely cold!
later on that night we had reservations in Ferdi which deserves its own blogpost but I felt hella cool going to the same restaurant as the Kardashians once were (major fan girl moment).
For our last day we did the typical touristy things we got an amazing taxi driver who had water and sweets and phone chargers in the taxi for us. he was so kind and helpful and directed us to a café I've heard much about called Carette which is very near the Eiffel tower. it was such a lovely location and the food was just delightful and fresh.

we wandered around the Eiffel tower area and took some photos. yes we are one of those annoying couples that got on the whole #followme bandwagon! It also was the debut of my channel classic flap bag! Paris is honestly one of my favourite places to go for so many reasons I cant wait to visit it again.
