Hello lovelies sorry for my absence but I'm back with a bang!
So the wonderful Lydia Elise Millen started a brilliant tag over on YouTube and I couldn't wait to do a blog version of it!
For anyone that reads this I tag all of you! I'd love to read all of your bag deets!
So onto the questions....
1. How Many hangbags do I own?
At the minute I own 11 designer handbags. I'm ashamed to say that handbags are my drug of choice and I just adore them and love making smart investments in them I rarely make a quick decision on a bag. I'm usually thinking about it for months!
2. How do I organise and store my bags.
At the minute I've very limited space and just store them in their dust bags and boxes on selves in my wardrobe. My dream would be to have them displayed in a walk in wardrobe (someday!)
That's pretty much my dream right there!
3. My first handbag?
My first designer handbag was when I was about 13. It was a blue leather Tommy Hilfiger sachel and I was just besotted when I finally got it. Unfortunately I don't have a picture but looking back it was a pretty awful bag. I think I was more carried away that it was Tommy Hilfiger than anything else!
4. My newest handbag
My newest handbag is the Louis Vuitton twist in light pink. I'm so obsessed with it! But with everything going on with college I haven't been able to put any outfits together with it yet. I'm living for the summer so I can bring it everywhere with me. It's so super versatile and sturdy.
5. My most expensive handbag.
Without a doubt my most expensive handbag has to be my Chanel jumbo in lamb skin. I look after this bag as if it was a child. And honestly sometimes I just stare at it and wonder at its beauty! Its been my dream to own one since I was literally 10 years old. My granny used to have a very similar style and I always emulated to wanting to own one myself one day. It's a crazy amount of money for a bag there's no doubt about that. But if I had to recommend owning just one designer bag in your life time it would be a Chanel classic flap! Completely timeless and literally goes with everything you honestly can't go wrong!
6. Most dramatic purchase.
Okay so by far the most dramatic purchase was my Chanel classic flap. So Paul got me this for Christmas which I was beyond surprised about (as in tears surprisied) when he gave it to me (which was in my front drive way oddly!) so basically Paul originally was trying to get me the bag in Berlin as it was close to his work and also he had a better chance of getting one there than in Ireland. So first thing you should know about Paul is if you tell him he can't do it he will do everything to prove you wrong! So he went in search for it in Chanel in Berlin where they told him it was impossible to get on such short notice. He then asked them to call some other stores in Germany which lead them to ringing the store in Paris which actually had the bag! So Paul jumps on a plane to Paris gets a cab to Chanel gets the bag and then jumps on a plane back to Berlin all in one day! Cmon now how many boyfriends would do that? I think I'll keep him for sure ❤️
7. Current Favourite Store
I'd have to say either Brown Thomas in Dublin, Harrods and Selfridges in London and KaDaWe in Berlin as they all have a selection of brands and easy to browse and actually handle the bags. I'm a bit old fashioned and love seeing whatever I'm buying in person I still have to catch on to online shopping but I love looking at websites such as Vestiaire Collective and luisaviaroma. Maybe some day soon I'll take the plunge!
8. Current favourite handbag.
Oh my god this is so difficult. I'm only basing this on the one I seem to be grabbing most often as I'm wearing so much black lately! It would have to be my Gucci Dionysus. I got this on a quick trip to Amsterdam and I love it so much (like all my other handbags) the stunning snake detail is gorgeous and I just love all the symbolism that Gucci has been incorporating into their recent designs I'm obsessed with everything! I love the blooms series they have going on too. The colours are so stunning for summer I can't deny that I'm tempted by them.
9. Least favourite handbag.
I honestly don't think I can say which is my least favourite as I love all of my bags and have put a lot of thought into every one of them! But I'm picking my least used instead which doesn't mean that I don't love it.
I would have to say my Lady Dior pink lambskin. I love this bag so much the only reason I'm not using it as much as I would like is that I'm afraid of getting it scuffed or having colour transfer getting on it. It's a stunning bag and it'll be something I'll have into my 80's I hope!
10. Next handbag purchase.
Where to begin?! I have so many id love to own someday. But to simplify this it would be between the Louis Vuitton Pochette Matis or a Chanel bag pack. Both I would use to death! The bagback would be perfect for travelling and the sachel is perfect for a day to day casual look.
11. My Dream Handbag
I think any bag lovers dream involves a Hermes beauty! Either the Birkin or the Kelly I'm not sure which as I'm nowhere near getting my hands on one of these. Also I feel that it would be a perfect bag for when I'm older another timeless piece that would go with everything and at an extortionate price also! It's a pure status symbol piece at this stage!
